Bill Douglas (born November 7, 1944) is  Canadian musician, composer, pianist, an bassoonist whose works received influence from classical music, jzz, African, Brazilian and Indian music, 1970s funk and many other genres. He has toured and recorded for thirty years with clarinetist Richard Stotzman. As a bassoonist, he has played with the Toronto and New Haven Symphony Orchestras and has recorded three RCA albums with Peter Serkin and Tashi(Ida Kavafian, Fred Sherry,  Richard Stoltzman and Peter Serkin). As a jazz pianist, he has toured and recorded with vibraphonist Gary Burton and bassist Eddi Gomez.

 

 

 

 

Bill Douglas는 캐나다 출신의 뮤지션으로 Deep Peace 가 한국 드라마 배경 음악으로

사용 되면서 한국내에서 알려진 Newage musican 이라고 하지요. 이 곡 'Forest Hymn'으로

뉴에이지 팬들에게 그의 이름이 강하게 각인되어 있지요. Bill은 그의 뛰어난 음악성과 함께

편안함을 주며 탄탄하게 짜여진 곡의 구조와 설득력있는 선율들은 클라리넷, 오보에같은 목

관악기, 그리고 첼로등의 연주가 더해져서 그의 음악에 신선함을 더해 줍니다. 

바순(Bassoon)의 음색이 때로는 사람의 마음을 거룩하고 성스러움, 그리고 평화로움을

느끼게도 하지요. 캐나다 토론토 왕립음악원, 토론토대학 음악교육학 그리고 예일대학원을
