빈 신년음악회(빈 新年音樂會, Neujahrskonzert in Wien, New Year's Concert in Vienna)는 오스트리아의 대표적인 관현악단인 빈 필하모닉 오케스트라가 매년 12월 31일과 1월 1일 정오에 빈 음악협회 대강당에서 개최하는 음악회로, 정식 명칭은 빈 필하모닉 오케스트라 신년음악회(Neujahrskonzert der Wiener Philharmoniker)이다. <위키백과>

빈 필하모닉의 신년음악회

빈 필하모닉 오케스트라의 2013년 신년음악회가 지난
1월 1일 정오에 전 세계 음악 팬들이 시청하는 가운데
오스트리아 빈의 무지크페라인 골든홀(Musikverein Golden Hall)에서 열렸다.

이번 공연은 카라얀의 제자로 클리블랜드 오케스트라(Cleveland Orchestra) 상임지휘자 이며 2010년
내한공연으로 호평을 얻은 바 있는 오스트리아 출신의 프란츠 벨저 뫼스트(Franz Welser-Most)가 2011년
에 이어 또다시 지휘를 맡았다.

클리블랜드 오케스트라(The Cleveland Orchestra)는 미국 오하이오주의

클리블랜드시를 본거지로 하는 미국의 대표적인 관현악단이다.

매년 1월 1일 빈 음악협회 대강당에서 열리는 빈 필하모닉 신년음악회는 올해로 73번째를 맞았다. 2013년 지휘는 오스트리아 출신 지휘자 프란츠 뵐저 뫼스트(Franz Welser-Most)가 맡았다. 빈 국립오페라 극장의 음악총감독이자 미국 오하이오주 클리블랜드 오케스트라의 음악감독으로 1998년 빈 필하모닉에서 데뷔해 2010년에는 쉔부르 궁전에서 여름 밤 콘서트를 지휘하기도 했다.

이번 음악회는 2013년 바그너와 베르디의 탄생 200주년을 맞아 그들의 작품들로 구성되었다. 또 빈 신년음악회의 전통으로 매년 한 해도 거르지 않고 새해의 시작을 알리는 곡으로 이어져 온 ‘아름답고 푸른 도나우 강’과 ‘라데츠키 행진곡’ 등을 연주했다.

The Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert 2013 was conducted for the second time by the Austrian conductor Franz Welser-Möst, General Music Director of the Vienna State Opera and Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra. The program featured eleven compositions which had never before appeared on a New Year's Concert, including pieces by Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi, both of whose bicentennials are being commemorated in 2013. The New Year's Concert 2013 was broadcast on television and radio to 81 countries around the world. This is double the amount of countries which received the broadcast 10 years ago.

 

It has long been a Philharmonic tradition at the New Year to present a program consisting of the lively and at the same time nostalgic music from the vast repertoire of the Johann Strauss family and its contemporaries. These concerts not only delight the audiences in the Musikverein in Vienna, but also enjoy great international popularity through the world wide television broadcasts.
