무슨 현상인지 모래사장 일부가 완전히 자갈/조약돌로 뒤덥혔다.
내일 비가 온다지만 바다 밑에서 기이한 현상이 일어나는 듯이 보이고 조금 무서운 느낌도 든다.
오늘은 정말 이상하다.
모래사장에 파도가 저렇게 요동을 치고 또 소용돌이를 이루는 현상은 이 모래사장에서 처음 본다.
돌고래가 지나가는 걸 관찰/구경하는 중이다.

Native American(미국 인디언)들을 이 열매로 쥬스를 만들어 마셨다고 한다.
Lemonade berry는 레몬보다 훨씬 시고 쓴맛이 없으며 달다.

Laurel sumac (Malosma laurina)
수분이 부족할 적에 잎이 Taco Shell처럼 오무라지니 일명 Taco plant로 불리기도 한다.
또 하나 Laurel sumac (Malosma laurina)가 미국 인디언 들에게 중요한 목적으로 쓰인 건
척박한 땅에 이 나무를 심어서 살아남으면 그 땅에서는 감귤류 나무(Citrus tree)를
재배할 수 있다는 걸 알았다고 한다.

Toyon Berry 나무를 유럽사람들이 'Holly' 나무와 혼동하고 Holly라고 불렀는데
이 나무가 유난히 많았던 할리우드(Hollywood)는 잘못 불려진 나무의 이름을 따서 불렀단다.
초창기에는 그 지역을 할리(Holly)로 불렀다가 훗날에 Hollywood로 부르기 시작했다고 한다.
