• Squirrels can run as fast as 20mph.

• By peak activity time for squirrels during mild weather is the first two hours after sunrise,  and in winter, around noon.

Hanging Feeders

When protecting a feeder with a hanging baffle, make sure the baffle is at least 1/3 larger in cir-

cumference than the feeder. Also make sure the bottom of the feeder is at least 4 ½ feet off the ground and that the feeder hangs at least 8 feet away from a tree trunk, yard hook, or other

“sideways” launching spot for attracting squirrels.

Pole Mounted and 4x4 Post Mounted Feeders

Make sure the bottom of the pole or post baffle is at least 4 ½ feet off the ground. Also make

sure the pole or post mounted feeder is at least 8 feet away from a tree trunk, yard hook, or

other “sideways” launching spot for attracting squirrels. In addition, make sure the feeder is at

least 10 feet away from significantly taller potential launching pads for squirrels like trees or

houses.

좋은 feeder

Bird feeder를 이렇게 울타리에 달아놓은 건 다람쥐들에게 밥상을 바치는것과 마찬가지다.^^ 

다람쥐들은 거의 2 미터를 홀딱 뛸 수 있고 약 2.5 미터를 건너 뛸 수 있기 때문이다.
