유니버셜 스튜디오 할리우드는 1964년 7월 15일에 개장하였으며 170만 평방킬로미터의 면적을 자랑하는 세계 최대의 영화 및 TV 촬영 스튜디오이자 테마파크로 세계에서 두 번째로 오래된 유니버셜 스튜디오 산하의 대표적인 테마파크이고 실제 영화 촬영이나 촬영할 때 썼던 세트장을 관람할 수 있게 해 놓았다. 실제로 영화제작이 이루어진 곳을 보고 체험도 하는 '스튜디오 투어(Studio Tour)'가 있다.

여기에는 옛날 배우들을 흉내 내는 impersonator들이 곳 곳에서 반기는데 오늘 내가 만난 impersonator 들 중에서 가장 인상이 깊고 정성을 다해서 나와 시간을 보낸 사람은 Marilyn Monroe 흉내를 내는 사람이었다. 그래서
