지나가던 한 청년이 누구야? 죠지 와싱톤이야? 이러길래 셰익스피어라고 말했더니

친구들이랑 크게 웃으면서 'Much Ado About Nothing'이라고 말하고 소란스럽게 지나갑니다.

샛빨간 석류꽃은 여름을 상징하는데 4월에 한창입니다.

석류에 대해서 이야기가 많고 성경에도 석류나무와 석류나무 정원이 나오는데

여기는 '셰익스피어 정원'이니 그의 한 극에서 석류나무가 나오는 구절을 봅니다.

셰익스피어 극 로미오와 줄리엣에도 석류나무가 등장하는데, 줄리엣이 로미오에게

저 소리는 나이팅게일이 석류나무 가지에서 우는 소리라고 말하지요.
