Eleuterio Sánchez Rodríguez (born 15 April 1942), known as El Lute, was at one time listed as Spain's "Most Wanted" criminal. He was a legendary Spanish outlaw who escaped several times from prison after being convicted and sentenced at age 23 to 30 years for murder. While in prison, he learned to read, earned a law degree, and became a writer, continuing to protest his innocence of the charges. He was pardoned and released on June 20, 1981, at the age of 39.<Wikipedia>

 

 

 

 

"El Lute" / "Gotta Go Home" is a double A-side single by 70's disco band Boney M. It was the lead single from their fourth album Oceans of Fantasy (1979) and was the group's eighth and final number 1 single in the German charts. In the UK where "Gotta Go Home" was chosen as the main A-side, the single was their first one since their debut single not to reach the Top 10, peaking at number 12. Boney M. used the double A-side format over the next years, typically with the A1 being the song intended for radio and A2 being more squarely aimed at discos. El Lute: Run for Your Life (Spanish: El Lute: camina o revienta) is a 1987 Spanish film written and directed by Vicente Aranda, based on the memoirs of Eleuterio Sánchez, "El Lute", a delinquent who became notorious in Spain for his jail escapes in the 1960s. It stars Imanol Arias and Victoria Abril. The film was a hit in Spain and made a big star of his leading actor. It was nominated to four Goya Awards (Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress) and is considered among the best Spanish films of the 1980s.
