Jeanette Alexander is an Award-winning composer/pianist and recording artist in the Seattle area. She has three CDs to her name and her lovely compositions have been featured in commercials, films, radio, as well as the airlines. She began her own record label, Creative Muse Productions, with the release of her first CD, Still Point, and has found national and international distribution, as well as licensing in Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries with her subsequent releases. Grandfather Clock - London in 1950

 

 

할아버지 시계의 원곡은 Henry Clay Work(1832-1884)가 1876년에 만든 Grandfather's Clock라는 미국동요 입니다.  할아버지가 태어나시던 아침부터 한번도 쉬지않고 째각거리던 시계가 할아버지 돌아가시던 밤 멈추었다는 내용의 가사가 붙어 민요로 불려지고 있고 우리나라를 비롯해 각 나라에서 여러 버전으로 많이 번안 되어왔습니다. Jannette의 피아노연주로 듣는 Grandfather's Clock 은 우리에게 아주 익숙한 곡이지요. 이곡은 원래 영국의 전통... 할아버지 시계(My grandfather's clock)에 담긴 사연을 미국 음악 작곡가 Henry Clay Work가 1875년 영국을 방문했을때 채집하여 곡을 부쳤다고 하지요.          어린이의 노래로 들어 보십시오.
