15 September Sat, 2012 What We Need [ 2 Corinthians 1:1 - 1:7 ] - hymn486 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. — 2 Corinthians 1:3 The heartbreaking stories keep coming. The friend whose grown daughter has left her husband and kids. The dads I recently met who lost their teen sons in car accidents. The pillar of the church whose retirement years have been marked by a string of bad medical news. You know the stories. You may have your own. Where do we go for help when struggles and pain threaten to shake our faith and steal our last ounce of joy? Second Corinthians 1:3 may be just the right destination. It is full of hope, help, and possibilities. Examine what that verse tells us: Paul lifts praise to God on two levels (and remember, Paul had more struggles and trouble than most of us could stand). First, he simply sends praise to God, who is not just our God but the God and Father of Jesus Himself. Think about the power and the love behind that! Then he gives us even better news: Our heavenly Father is the God of mercy and compassion. He cares for us with an everlasting, gracious love. And there’s more—He is also the God of all comfort. Need compassion? Need comfort? Go to God. He has an endless supply and is ready to pour it out on you in abundance. He is what we need in times of trouble!       I must have the Savior with me,For my faith at best is weak;He will whisper words of comfort,That no other voice can speak. — Anon God’s whisper of comfort helps quiet the noise of our trials. 2 Corinthians 1:1-7 [1] Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia: [2] Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, [4] who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. [5] For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. [6] Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. [7] And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.

2012년 09월 15일 (토) 우리에게 필요한 것 [ 고린도후서 1:1 - 1:7 ] - 찬송가 486장 찬송하리로다 그는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님이시요 자비의 아버지시요 모든 위로의 하나님이시며 - 고린도후서 1:3 가슴이 찢어질 듯한 이야기들이 계속 들려옵니다. 친구의 다 큰 딸이 남편과 아이들을 남겨두고 죽었습니다. 얼마 전에는 십대의 아들들을 각각 교통사고로 잃은 아버지들을 만났습니다. 교회의 큰 일꾼인 어떤 분은 은퇴한 후 여러 가지 나쁜 병으로 고생하고 있습니다. 당신도 이런 이야기들을 알고 있을 것입니다. 어쩌면 당신 자신에게 이런 일이 일어나고 있는지도 모르겠습니다. 고난과 고통이 우리의 믿음을 흔들고 우리의 마지막 남은 기쁨을 빼앗으려 할 때 우리는 어디에 가서 도움을 청해야 합니까?  고린도후서 1장 3절이 아마도 가장 적절한 곳일 것 같습니다. 그것은 소망과 도움, 그리고 가능성으로 가득합니다. 그 구절이 우리에게 무엇을 이야기하는지 살펴보십시오. 바울은 하나님께 두 단계로 찬송을 드립니다(바울은 우리 중 대부분이 견뎌낼 수 없을 정도의 큰 고난과 고통을 당했다는 것을 기억하십시오). 바울은 먼저 우리의 하나님일 뿐 아니라 예수님의 하나님이자 아버지 되시는 하나님을 찬양합니다. 그 사실 뒤에 놓인 능력과 사랑을 생각해보십시오! 다음으로 바울은 하늘에 계신 우리의 아버지는 자비와 긍휼의 하나님이라는 더 좋은 소식을 우리에게 전해줍니다. 하나님은 영원히 은혜로운 사랑으로 우리를 돌보십니다. 그러나 그것이 전부가 아닙니다. 하나님은 또한 모든 위로의 하나님이십니다. 긍휼이 필요하십니까? 위로가 필요하십니까? 하나님께로 가십시오. 하나님은 끊임없이 공급해주시고, 당신에게 풍성히 부어주실 준비가 되어 있습니다. 하나님은 우리가 고통을 당할 때 필요한 바로 그분이십니다!     나는 믿음이 약하기에 구주께서 나와 함께 하셔야 한다네 주님은 아무도 할 수 없는 위로의 말을 내 귀에 속삭여주신다네 하나님의 위로의 속삭임은 우리 시련의 소음을 잠잠하게 해주신다. 고린도후서 1:1-7 [1] 하나님의 뜻으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수의 사도 된 바울과 형제 디모데는 고린도에 있는 하나님의 교회와 또 온 아가야에 있는 모든 성도에게 [2] 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로부터 은혜와 평강이 있기를 원하노라 [3] 찬송하리로다 그는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님이시요 자비의 아버지시요 모든 위로의 하나님이시며 [4] 우리의 모든 환난 중에서 우리를 위로하사 우리로 하여금 하나님께 받는 위로로써 모든 환난 중에 있는 자들을 능히 위로하게 하시는 이시로다 [5] 그리스도의 고난이 우리에게 넘친 것 같이 우리가 받는 위로도 그리스도로 말미암아 넘치는도다 [6] 우리가 환난 당하는 것도 너희가 위로와 구원을 받게 하려는 것이요 우리가 위로를 받는 것도 너희가 위로를 받게 하려는 것이니 이 위로가 너희 속에 역사하여 우리가 받는 것 같은 고난을 너희도 견디게 하느니라 [7] 너희를 위한 우리의 소망이 견고함은 너희가 고난에 참여하는 자가 된 것 같이 위로에도 그러할 줄을 앎이라
