Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling

From glen to glen and down the mountain side

The summer's gone and all the flowers dying

It's you, It's you must go and I must bide

But coming back when summer's in the meadow

Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow

Till's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so

But when you go and all the roses falling

And I am dead, as dead I well may be

Go out and find the place where I am lying

And kneel and say and love babe for me

And I will feel, oh soft you tread above me

And then my grave will more than sweeter be

For you shall bend and tell me that you love me

And I will sleep in peace until you come to me

"Tears in Heaven" is a song by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings from the soundtrack

to the film Rush. The song was written about the pain and loss Clapton felt following

the death of his four-year-old son, Conor. Conor fell from a window of the 53rd-floor

New York apartment belonging to his mother's friend on March 20, 1991. Clapton

arrived at the apartment shortly after the accident, and was distraught over his son's death.  "Tears in Heaven" is one of Clapton's most successful songs, as it reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the U.S. The song also stayed

three weeks as #1 on the American adult contemporary chart in 1992. <Wikipedia>
