Date: 2011-12-22 Read:Colossians 1:27-2:3 HIDDEN TREASURE In [Christ] are hidden all the treasures of  wisdom and knowledge. ―Colossians 2:3 Hymn240 A British treasure hunter discov-ered a huge stash of Roman coins buried in a field in southwest  England. Using a metal detector, Dave Crisp  located a large pot holding 52,000 coins. These  ancient silver and bronze coins, which date from  the third century AD and weigh more than 350  pounds, are valued at $5 million.  While Crisp's treasure may cause us to dream  about somehow fin-ding similar riches, we as Chr-  istians should be on a different kind of treasure  hunt. What we seek does not consist of silver  and gold. Rather our quest is to gather the  precious gems of insight so that we might gain  the "full assurance of understanding . . . , both  of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden  all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"  (Col. 2:2- 3). The hidden treasure of knowing  the Lord more completely is found in the Bible.  The psalmist said, "I rejoice at Your Word as  one who fin-ds great treasure"(Ps. 119:162).  If we read the Word of God hurriedly or carele-  ssly, we will miss its deep insights. These truths  must be sought ear-nestly with all the attention  of someone seeking hidden treasure.  Are you eager to fin-d the treasures stored in  Scripture? 날짜: 2011-12-22 골로새서 1:27-2:3 숨겨진 보물 그(그리스도) 안에는 지혜와 지식의 모든 보화가 감취어 있느니라－골로새서 2:3 찬송가240 영국의 한 보물 사냥꾼이 영국 서남부에 있는 어떤 밭에 묻혀있던 많은 양의 로마 시대 주화를 발견했습니다. 데이브 크리스프라는 사람이 금속 탐지기를 이용해 52,000 개의 주화가 들어있는 큰 항아리를 찾아낸 것입니다. 무게가 160킬로그램이 넘는, 3세기 무렵 고대의 은화들과 청동화들은 약 5백만 달러의 값어치가 있었습니다.  크리스프의 보물을 보며 우리도 비슷한 행운을 찾을 수 있을 것이라는 꿈을 꿀 수도 있겠지만, 그리스도인으로서 우리는 다른 종류의 보물찾기를 해야 합니다. 우리가 찾는 것은 은과 금으로 만들어진 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 우리는 “아버지와 아들 그 안에는 지혜와 지식의 모든 보화가 감취어 있음”(골 2:2-3)을 아는 고귀한 보석 같은 통찰력을 모으는 일을 추구해야 합니다. 주님을 보다 철저히 알 수 있게 해주는 보물은 성경 속에 숨어 있습니다. 시편기자는 “사람이 많은 탈취물을 얻은 것처럼 나는 주의 말씀을 즐거워하나이다”(시 119:162)라고 말했습니다.  하나님의 말씀을 급하게 읽거나 소홀하게 읽으면 그 심오한 통찰력을 놓치게 됩니다. 이런 진리는 마치 보물 사냥꾼처럼 최고의 집중력을 가지고 진지하게 찾아야만 합니다.  말씀 속에 들어 있는 보물을 찾기를 진정 원하십니까? 그렇다면 지금 파고들기 시작하십시오!  하나님 말씀 속에 숨겨진 귀한 보물을 찾으려면  성경을 읽을 때 정신을 바짝 차리고  한 줄 한 줄 음미하며, 그 가르침에 귀 기울이고  경외심을 갖고 말씀을 잘 실천해야 한다 성경 안에 있는 보물 같은 진리는  묵상이라는 삽으로 가장 잘 캘 수 있다.
