오늘 Southern California는 이렇습니다.

바람이 150km 이상으로 불어오더니 옆동네에 산불이 났습니다.

아껴주고 몇달을 길렀던 장미 피자마자 한 순간에 꺽어지고 말았지요.

Matt Monroe 라고 하는 영국 가수가 약 30년 전에 부렀고
한국에서 번안곡으로도 불렀는데 제목과 가수 이름은 모르겠습니다.

 

 

 

 

Matt Monreo는 영국출생, 세상 떠난지 오래되어서 잊혀진 가수지만, 당시에 영국 뿐이 아니라 세계적으로 많이 알려진 가수지요. Matt Monroe는 영화 007 제2편(1963 film)의 주제곡이었던 'From Russia with Love / Walk Away' 로 유명합니다.

오늘 아침에 8시에 옆동네에 일어난 산불이다.

5일 전에는 뜬금없이 저 산에 눈이 내리더니 어제부터

기온이 화씨 99도(섭씨 37도)로 오르고 불이 났다.

바람이 어찌나 강한지 비행기와 헬리콥터를

이용하지 못하니 진화작업에 진전이 없이 타고만 있다. 

아, 4월이여! 어서 가거라!

A brush fire was burning near Rancho Cucamonga

on Wednesday April 30, 2014.(Credit: KTLA)

 

An 1,000-acre wildfire is burning in Day Canyon in the Etiwanda Reserve north of Rancho Cucamonga, 

according to the U.S. Forest Service. Authorities say at least 1,165 homes

and several schools have been evacuated.
