01 April Sun, 2012 A New View Of Change [ John 10:7 - 10:18 ] - hymn397 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep. —John 10:14 People hate change, or so I hear. But the change we generally resist is the kind that we think will make our situation worse rather than better. We eagerly change jobs when it means higher pay and more influence. We happily move to a bigger house in a better neighborhood. So it’s not change in general that we hate; it’s change that involves loss—sometimes physical; other times emotional or psychological. Change is both inevitable and necessary. If everything stays the same, no one is growing. But we have a Shepherd who guides us through change and leads us to a better place. Getting there may be difficult, as it was for the Israelites in reaching the Promised Land. They grumbled when their situation got worse rather than better (Ex. 15:24; Num. 14:2). But we have the example of Jesus. In less than a week, He went from being the leader of many to being abandoned by all. Between Palm Sunday and Good Friday, the Good Shepherd became the Passover Lamb. Because Christ willingly went through suffering, God elevated Him to the highest place (John 10:11; Phil. 2:8-9). Not all change is pleasant, but when we’re being led to a better place by Someone who loves us, we don’t need to fear it.     I know not, but God knows;Oh, blessed rest from fear!All my unfolding daysTo Him are plain and clear. — Flint Faith in Christ will keep us steady in the stormy sea of change. John 10:7-18 [7] Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. [8] "All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. [9] "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. [10] "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. [11] "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. [12] "But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. [13] "The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. [14] "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. [15] "As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. [16] "And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. [17] "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. [18] "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

2012년 04월 01일 (주일) 변화에 대한 새로운 견해 [ 요한복음 10:7 - 10:18 ] - 찬송가 397장 나는 선한 목자라 내가 내 양을 알고 양도 나를 아는 것이 - 요한복음 10:14 사람들은 변화를 싫어합니다. 아니, 나는 그렇게 들었습니다. 하지만 우리가 대체로 거부감을 가지는 변화는 우리가 처한 상황을 좋게 만들기 보다는 더 악화시킬 것으로 생각되는 변화입니다. 만일 새 직장이 봉급을 더 많이 준다거나 영향력을 더 발휘할 수 있는 곳이라면 우리는 기꺼이 직장을 바꿉니다. 우리는 행복해하면서 더 좋은 동네의 좀 더 큰 집으로 이사합니다. 따라서 일반적으로 우리가 싫어하는 것은 변화 그 자체가 아니라, 물질적 손실이나 감정적, 심리적 손실을 가져오는 변화들입니다. 변화는 피할 수 없지만 필요한 것이기도 합니다. 만일 모든 것이 그대로 머물러 있으면 아무도 성장하지 못합니다. 그러나 우리에게는 변화의 과정 동안 우리를 안내하여 더 좋은 곳으로 인도하시는 목자가 있습니다. 그곳에 이르는 것은 마치 이스라엘 백성이 약속의 땅에 도달할 때처럼 어려울 수도 있습니다. 그들은 상황이 좋아지지 않고 오히려 더 나빠지자 불평했습니다(출 15:24; 민 14:2). 그러나 예수님이 우리에게 본보기를 보여주셨습니다. 많은 사람들의 지도자였던 예수님은 일주일도 채 안 되는 사이에 만인에게 버림받았습니다. 선한 목자 예수님은 종려주일부터 성금요일 사이에 유월절 희생양이 되셨습니다. 그리스도께서 기꺼이 고난을 받으셨기 때문에 하나님께서 그를 지극히 높이셨습니다(요 10:11; 빌 2:8-9).   변화가 다 유쾌한 것은 아닙니다. 그러나 우리를 사랑하는 누군가에 의해 우리가 더 좋은 곳으로 인도된다면 변화를 두려워할 필요가 없습니다.     나는 모르지만 하나님은 아시니 오, 두려움 없는 축복된 안식이여! 하나님께로 가는 모든 날들이 평탄하고 밝게 펼쳐지리니 그리스도를 믿는 믿음은 변화의 폭풍 속에서도 우리를 견고히 지켜줄 것이다. 요한복음 10:7-18 [7] 그러므로 예수께서 다시 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 말하노니 나는 양의 문이라 [8] 나보다 먼저 온 자는 다 절도요 강도니 양들이 듣지 아니하였느니라 [9] 내가 문이니 누구든지 나로 말미암아 들어가면 구원을 얻고 또는 들어가며 나오며 꼴을 얻으리라 [10] 도적이 오는 것은 도적질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라 [11] 나는 선한 목자라 선한 목자는 양들을 위하여 목숨을 버리거니와 [12] 삯꾼은 목자도 아니요 양도 제 양이 아니라 이리가 오는 것을 보면 양을 버리고 달아나나니 이리가 양을 늑탈하고 또 헤치느니라 [13] 달아나는 것은 저가 삯꾼인 까닭에 양을 돌아보지 아니함이나 [14] 나는 선한 목자라 내가 내 양을 알고 양도 나를 아는 것이 [15] 아버지께서 나를 아시고 내가 아버지를 아는 것 같으니 나는 양을 위하여 목숨을 버리노라 [16] 또 이 우리에 들지 아니한 다른 양들이 내게 있어 내가 인도하여야 할 터이니 저희도 내 음성을 듣고 한 무리가 되어 한 목자에게 있으리라 [17] 아버지께서 나를 사랑하시는 것은 내가 다시 목숨을 얻기 위하여 목숨을 버림이라 [18] 이를 내게서 빼앗는 자가 있는 것이 아니라 내가 스스로 버리노라 나는 버릴 권세도 있고 다시 얻을 권세도 있으니 이 계명은 내 아버지에게서 받았노라 하시니라
