02 August Sat, 2014 Graceland [ Romans 5:15 - 5:21 ] - hymn310 The grace of God ... abounded to many. — Romans 5:15 The Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the most visited homes in the US. It was built in the 1930s and named after the original owner’s great aunt, Grace. It later became famous as the home of Elvis Presley. I love the name Graceland because it describes the amazing territory into which God placed me when He forgave me of my sin and made me His own. He took me out of the darkness and brought me into His own “graceland.” The apostle Paul says that “the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many”(Rom.5:15). I’ll be forever thankful that the “many” includes me and that God’s love has transferred me into the territory of His marvelous, infinite, matchless grace! Think of the blessing of being in God’s graceland. It is a realm where He has given us entrance into His presence and where that same grace continues to overflow into our lives on a daily basis. Paul tells us that even in times of despair God showers us with sufficient grace to see us through (see 2 Cor.12:9). No matter what life may bring, nothing can remove us from the realm of God’s grace. — Joe Stowell     Lord, for the blessings of Your grace I am forever grateful! Teach me to accept Your grace and to live in its power. Help me to share Your story with others. Remember where you live and rejoice in His grace. Romans 5:15-21 [15] But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. [16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. [17] For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.) [18] Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. [19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. [20] Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, [21] so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2014년 08월 02일 (토) 은혜의 땅 [ 로마서 5:15 - 5:21 ] - 찬송가 310장 하나님의 은혜…많은 사람에게 넘쳤느니라 - 로마서 5:15 테네시주 멤피스에 있는 그레이스랜드라는 대저택은 미국에서 사람들이 가장 많이 방문하는 집 가운데 하나입니다. 1930년대에 지어진 이 저택은 원래 집주인의 고모할머니의 이름 그레이스를 따서 명명되었습니다. 이후에 그 집은 엘비스 프레슬리의 집으로 유명해졌습니다. 내가 그레이스랜드, 즉 ‘은혜의 땅’이라는 이름을 사랑하는 이유는 그 이름이 하나님이 나의 죄를 용서하시고 나를 그분의 자녀로 삼으셨을 때 나를 옮겨두신 놀라운 땅이라는 의미를 갖고 있기 때문입니다. 하나님은 나를 흑암으로부터 그분의 “은혜의 땅”으로 옮겨주셨습니다. 바울사도는 “하나님의 은혜와 또한 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜로 말미암은 선물은 많은 사람에게 넘쳤느니라”(롬 5:15)라고 말합니다. “많은 사람” 속에 나 자신이 포함되어 있으며, 하나님의 사랑이 나를 놀랍고 한량없으며 비길 데 없는 하나님의 은혜의 영역으로 옮겨주신 것에 대해 나는 영원히 감사할 것입니다. 하나님의 ‘은혜의 땅’에 거하는 축복을 생각해보십시오. 그곳은 우리로 하여금 주님 앞에 나아가게 해주며, 같은 그 은혜가 우리의 삶에 날마다 넘쳐흐르는 곳입니다. 바울은 절망의 시기조차도 하나님이 족한 은혜를 부어주셔서 우리가 잘 극복할 수 있게 해주신다고 말합니다(고후 12:9 참조). 인생에 무슨 일이 닥쳐오더라도 우리를 하나님의 은혜의 영역에서 벗어나게 할 수 있는 것은 아무것도 없습니다.     주님, 주신 은혜의 축복을 영원히 감사합니다! 주님의 은혜를 받아들이고 그 권능 안에서 살 수 있도록 가르쳐주소서. 주님의 이야기를 다른 사람들과 나눌 수 있게 도와주소서. 은혜의 땅에 살고 있음을 기억하며 하나님의 은혜 안에서 기뻐하라. 로마서 5:15-21 [15] 그러나 이 은사는 그 범죄와 같지 아니하니 곧 한 사람의 범죄를 인하여 많은 사람이 죽었은즉 더욱 하나님의 은혜와 또한 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜로 말미암은 선물은 많은 사람에게 넘쳤느니라 [16] 또 이 선물은 범죄한 한 사람으로 말미암은 것과 같지 아니하니 심판은 한 사람으로 말미암아 정죄에 이르렀으나 은사는 많은 범죄로 말미암아 의롭다 하심에 이름이니라 [17] 한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다 [18] 그런즉 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것 같이 한 의로운 행위로 말미암아 많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르렀느니라 [19] 한 사람이 순종하지 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인 된 것 같이 한 사람이 순종하심으로 많은 사람이 의인이 되리라 [20] 율법이 들어온 것은 범죄를 더하게 하려 함이라 그러나 죄가 더한 곳에 은혜가 더욱 넘쳤나니 [21] 이는 죄가 사망 안에서 왕 노릇 한 것 같이 은혜도 또한 의로 말미암아 왕 노릇 하여 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 영생에 이르게 하려 함이라
