Date: 2011-12-05 Read:1 John 4:7-21 WELL-LOVED We love Him because He first loved us.  ―1 John 4:19 Hymn416 A friend described his grandmother as one of the greatest influences in his life. Throughout his  adult years, he has kept her portrait next to his  desk to remind himself of her uncon-ditional love.  "I really do believe," he said, "that she helped  me learn how to love."  Not everyone has had a similar taste of human  love, but through Christ each of us can experie-  nce being well-loved by God. In 1 John 4, the  word love occurs 27 times, and God's love thro-  ugh Christ is cited as the source of our love for  God and for others. "In this is love, not that we  loved God, but that He loved us and sent His  Son to be the propitiation for our sins"(v.10).  "We have known and believed the love that  God has for us"(v.16). "We love Him because  He first loved us"(v.19).  God's love is not a slowly dripping faucet or a well we must dig for ourselves. It is a rushing stream  that flows from His heart into ours. Whatever  our family background or experiences in life―  whether we feel well-loved by others or not―  we can know love. We can draw from the  Lord's inexhaustible source to know His loving  care for us, and we can pass it on to others.  In Christ our Savior, we are well-loved. ―David McCasland  Loved with everlasting love,  Led by grace that love to know―  Spirit, breathing from above,  Thou hast taught me it is so!―Robinson Nothing is more powerful  than God? love.

날짜: 2011-12-05 요한1서 4:7-21 큰 사랑을 받은 자 우리가 사랑함은 그가 먼저 우리를  사랑하셨음이라－요한1서 4:19 찬송가416 한 친구가 자기 인생에 가장 큰 영향을 끼친 분 중의 한 분이 할머니라고 말했습니다. 그는 어른이 되고나서 언제나 할머니의 무조건적인 사랑을 기억하려고 자기 책상 곁에 할머니 사진을 붙여놓고 있었습니다. “어떻게 사랑하는지를 배우도록 할머니가 도와주었다고 진심으로 믿어.”라고 그는 말했습니다.  우리 모두 이와 비슷한 인간적인 사랑을 맛보지는 못했어도, 그리스도를 통해 하나님으로부터 큰 사랑을 받는 경험을 할 수 있습니다. 요한 1서 4장에서 사랑이라는 단어가 스물일곱 번 나오고, 그리스도를 통한 하나님의 사랑은 하나님과 다른 사람들을 향한 우리의 사랑의 원천으로 인용되어 있습니다. “사랑은 여기 있으니 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니요 오직 하나님이 우리를 사랑하사 우리 죄를 위하여 화목제로 그 아들을 보내셨음이니라”(10절). “하나님이 우리를 사랑하시는 사랑을 우리가 알고 믿었노니”(16절). “우리가 사랑함은 그가 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨음이라”(19절).  하나님의 사랑은 물방울이 천천히 떨어지는 수도꼭지나 우리가 우리를 위해 파야만 하는 우물이 아닙니다. 그것은 하나님의 마음에서 우리의 마음으로 쏟아져 들어오는 물길입니다. 어떤 집안에서 태어났든지 어떤 삶을 경험했든지, 또는 다른 이들로부터 많은 사랑을 받았다고 느끼든지 못 느끼든지 상관없이 우리는 사랑을 알 수 있습니다. 우리는 우리를 돌보시는 하나님의 사랑을 알기 위해 주님의 무한한 자원을 이끌어낼 수 있고, 그것을 다른 사람들에게 전해줄 수도 있습니다.  우리의 구주이신 그리스도 안에서 우리는 큰 사랑을 받습니다.  영원한 사랑으로 사랑받고  은혜로 그 사랑을 알게 하시니  하늘로부터 생기를 부으시는 성령님  당신이 나에게 사랑이 그렇다고 가르쳐주셨습니다 하나님의 사랑보다  더 강력한 것은 없다.

God Is Love

 ^7 (A)Beloved, let us ^(B)love one another, for love is from God; and ^(C)everyone who loves is^[a](D)born of God and ^(E)knows God. ⁸ The one who does not love does not know God, for ^(F)God is love. ⁹ By this the love of God was manifested ^[b](G)in us, that ^(H)God has sent His ^[c]only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, ^(I)not that we loved God, but that ^(J)He loved us and sent His Son to be ^(K)the propitiation for our sins. ^11 (L)Beloved, if God so loved us, ^(M)we also ought to love one another. ^12 (N)No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His ^(O)love is perfected in us. ^13 (P)By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. ¹⁴ We have seen and^(Q)testify that the Father has ^(R)sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

 ^15 (S)Whoever confesses that ^(T)Jesus is the Son of God, God ^(U)abides in him, and he in God. ^16(V)We have come to know and have believed the love which God has ^[d](W)for us. ^(X)God is love, and the one who ^(Y)abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ¹⁷ By this, ^(Z)love is perfected with us, so that we may have ^(AA)confidence in ^(AB)the day of judgment; because ^(AC)as He is, so also are we in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but ^(AD)perfect love casts out fear, because fear ^[e]involves punishment, and the one who fears is not ^(AE)perfected in love. ^19 (AF)We love, because He first loved us. ^20 (AG)If someone says, “I love God,” and ^(AH)hates his brother, he is a ^(AI)liar; for ^(AJ)the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, ^(AK)cannot love God whom he has not seen. ²¹ And ^(AL)this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God ^(AM)should love his brother also.
