Date: 2011-12-06 Read:Psalm 37:1-11 FRET-FREE LIVING Do not fret it only causes harm.  ―Psalm 37:8 Hymn509 Does it bother you to see how much attention is paid in today's culture to people who stand for all the wrong things? Perhaps it is entertainment  stars who get the headlines while espousing  immoral philosophies in their music, movies, or  programs. Or it could be leaders who openly  thumb their noses at right-living standards.  It would be easy to fret about this and wring our hands in despair, but Psalm 37 suggests a better way. Listen to David's wise advice: "Do not fret  because of evildoers, nor be envious of the  workers of iniquity"(v.1).  While it is right to be "salt and light"(Matt. 5:13  -14) in this tasteless, dark world attempting to  counter sin by reflecting Jesus' light wherever  possible we cannot let negative forces cause us  to live in anger and wrath (Ps. 37:8). Instead,  we must rely on God to have the ultimate say  about evildoers: "They shall soon be cut down  like the grass"(v.2). Beyond that, we should  take David's approach: (1) "Trust in the Lord,  and do good." (2) "Feed on His faithful-ness."  (3) "Delight yourself also in the Lord." (4)  "Commit your way to the Lord." (5) "Rest in  the Lord"(vv.3-7).  We may not like what we see and hear from  some aspects of society, but remember this:  God is in control. (1) “하나님을 신뢰하고 선한 일을 하라.” (2) “주님의 신실하심을 먹고 살라.” (3) “주님 안에서 또한 크게 기뻐하라.” (4) “주님께 네 길을 바치라.” (5) “주 안에서 쉬라”(3-7절).  우리는 우리가 보거나 들은 사회의 어떤 단면들에 대해 좋아할 수는 없을 것입니다. 그러나 하나님이 통치하신다는 사실을 기억하십시오. 하나님이 옳은 일을 행하신다는 것을 믿으십시오. 그리고 초조해하지 마십시오.  비극, 마음의 고통, 슬픔이 가득할 때에  악이 정의를 이길 때에  우리는 하나님 아버지의  위대한 사랑을 마음 중심에 두니  이는 주님이 가장 어두운 밤에  희망을 가져오시기 때문이라 악으로 인해 절망하지 말라.  하나님이 최후의 말씀을 하실 것이다.

Security of Those Who Trust in the LORD, and Insecurity of the Wicked.

    A Psalm of David.

 ^1 (A)Do not fret because of evildoers, 
Be not ^(B)envious toward wrongdoers. 
² For they will ^(C)wither quickly like the grass 
And ^(D)fade like the green herb. 
^3 (E)Trust in the LORD and do good; 
^(F)Dwell in the land and ^[a](G)cultivate faithfulness. 
^4 (H)Delight yourself in the LORD; 
And He will ^(I)give you the desires of your heart. 
^5 (J)Commit your way to the LORD, 
Trust also in Him, and He will do it. 
⁶ He will bring forth ^(K)your righteousness as the light 
And your judgment ^(L)as the noonday.

 ^7 [b]Rest in the LORD and ^(M)wait ^[c]patiently for Him; 
^(N)Do not fret because of him who ^(O)prospers in his way, 
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. 
⁸ Cease from anger and ^(P)forsake wrath; 
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. 
⁹ For ^(Q)evildoers will be cut off, 
But those who wait for the LORD, they will ^(R)inherit the land. 
¹⁰ Yet ^(S)a little while and the wicked man will be no more; 
And you will look carefully for ^(T)his place and he will not be there.

And will delight themselves in ^(V)abundant prosperity.
