찬송가 93장 - 예수는 나의 힘이요 Date:2012-02-10 Genesis 27:6-23   [FLAWED] My strength is made perfect in weakness. -2 Corinthians 12:9 A well-known actor commented that he enjoyed playing "flawed" characters in movies because people could relate better to an imperfect character. Most of us would agree that it's easier for us to understand people who aren't perfect because we know that we are imperfect. God included stories in the Bible of people who were deceitful, weak, unreliable, and angry. Take Jacob, for example, who deceived his father so that he would receive a blessing (Gen. 27:1-29). Then there was Gideon, who was so unsure of God that he asked Him twice for proof that He would be faithful to do what He said He would do (Judg. 6:39). And then there's Peter, who for fear of his own safety, denied even knowing his friend and Lord (Mark 14:66-72). But when we read the rest of their stories, we observe that these people were able, with God's help, to overcome their shortcomings and ultimately be useful to Him. That hap-pened when they depended not on themselves but on God. Just like the people who lived thousands of years ago, each of us comes with flaws. But by God's grace we can overcome those imperfections by embracing His "strength [which] is made perfect in weakness"(2 Cor. 12:9). -Cindy Hess Kasper 날짜:2012-02-10 창세기 27:6-23 [흠이 있는] 내 능력이 약한 데서 온전하여 짐이라－고린도후서 12:9 아주 유명한 배우가 자기는 영화에서 “허물이 있는” 역을 맡는 것을 좋아하는데, 그 이유는 사람들은 온전하지 못한 사람들과 더 잘 공감할 수 있기 때문이라고 하였습니다. 무언가 좀 부족한 사람들을 더 잘 이해할 수 있다는 것에 우리 대부분이 동의하는 이유는 우리 스스로가 온전하지 못하다는 것을 우리가 알고 있기 때문입니다. 하나님은 성경 속에 남을 속이고, 약하며, 신뢰할 수 없으며, 또 성내는 사람들의 이야기를 기록하고 있습니다. 예를 들어, 야곱은축복을 받기 위해 아버지를 속였습니다(창 27:1-29). 기드온도 하나님을 믿지 못해 하나님이 하시겠다고 한 것을 정말 하실지 증거를 보여 달라고 두 번씩이나 요구하였습니다(삿 6:39). 그리고 자신의 신변에 대한 두려움으로 그의 친구인 주님을 모른다고 한 베드로도 있습니다(막 14:66-72). 그러나 그들의 이야기를 끝까지 읽어보면, 우리는 그들이 하나님의 도우심으로 자신들의 약한 부분을 이겨내고, 하나님께 유용하게 쓰임 받았음을 알게 됩니다. 이러한 일은 그들이 자신을 의지하지 않고 하나님을 의지할 때에 일어났습니다. 수천 년 전에 살았던 그들처럼 우리에게도 허물이 있습니다. 그러나 하나님의 은혜로 “약한 데서 온전하여 지는”(고후 12:9) 주님의 능력을 붙잡음으로써 우리는 이러한 결점들을 극복할 수 있습니다. God's strength is made perfect in weakness, For when we are weak He is strong; He gives us His grace and His power To overcome in us what's wrong. -Sper It's good to learn of our weakness if it drives us to lean on God's strength. 우리가 약할 때에 하나님은 강하시기에 주님의 능력은 약함 속에서 온전케 되네 우리 안에 있는 잘못들을 이겨내도록 주님은 은혜와 능력을 우리에게 부어주시네 우리의 약함이 우리로 하나님의 능력에 의지하게 해준다면 그 약함을 알아간다는 것은 좋은 것이다.

^6 (A)Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “Behold, I heard your father speak to your brother Esau, saying, ⁷ ‘Bring me some game and prepare a savory dish for me, that I may eat, and bless you in the presence of the LORD before my death.’ ⁸Now therefore, my son, ^(B)listen to ^[a]me ^[b]as I command you. ⁹ Go now to the flock and ^[c]bring me two choice ^[d]young goats from there, that I may prepare them as a savory dish for your father, such as he loves. ¹⁰ Then you shall bringit to your father, that he may eat, so that he may bless you before his death.” ¹¹ Jacob ^[e]answered his mother Rebekah, “Behold, Esau my brother is a ^(C)hairy man and I am a smooth man. ^12(D)Perhaps my father will feel me, then I will be as a ^[f]deceiver in his sight, and I will bring upon myself a curse and not a blessing.” ¹³ But his mother said to him, “Your curse be on me, my son; only ^(E)obey my voice, and go, get them for me.” ¹⁴ So he went and got them, and broughtthem to his mother; and his mother made savory

 food such as his father loved. ¹⁵ Then Rebekah took the ^[g]best ^(F)garments of Esau her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. ¹⁶ And she put the skins of the ^[h]young goats on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck. ¹⁷ She also gave the savory food and the bread, which she had made, ^[i]to her son Jacob.

 ¹⁸ Then he came to his father and said, “My father.” And he said, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?” ¹⁹ Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn; I have done as you told me.^(G)Get up, please, sit and eat of my game, that^[j](H)you may bless me.” ²⁰ Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have it so quickly, my son?” And he said, “^(I)Because the LORD your God caused it to happen to me.” ²¹ Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come close, that ^(J)I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.” ²² So Jacob came close to Isaac his father, 

and he felt him and said, “The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”²³ He did not recognize him, because his hands were ^(K)hairy like his brother Esau’s hands; so he blessed him.
